Oranges are believed to be a lucky fruit. Oranges are also said to represent love and fertility, though it is considered good luck for lovers to exchange gifts of oranges to improve their relationship. When a bride carries orange blossoms in her bouquet, she will have good luck. If a man sleeps with a pin-pricked orange tucked in his armpit, it is said that he should offer it to a girl, and should she eat it, the relationship will flourish.
